Getting started

Redeem an invite, sign in to your workspace, and take a quick tour of OBIC.

OBIC is invite-only. Getting into a workspace takes three steps: redeem your invite code, sign in, and get your bearings on the dashboard.

Redeem an invite code#

If you've received an invite, head to the redeem page and enter:

  • your invite code, in the form OBIC-XXXX-XXXX
  • your work email

When you submit, OBIC provisions a fresh workspace and an administrator account for you. Your workspace gets its own address — app.obic.ai/<your-workspace> — and the admin credentials are sent to the email you entered.

Sign in#

Open /login on your workspace and sign in with either:

  • Email and password — the credentials emailed to you on redemption, or
  • Google — sign in with a Google account.

If you're running OBIC locally for evaluation, the seed script creates an administrator you can use right away:

The seeded admin is a Super Admin — an unrestricted account that can see and change everything. Treat it as a setup account; create scoped roles for everyday users (see Access control).

Take the tour#

After signing in you land on your dashboard — a configurable home screen. On a brand new workspace it shows a clock, the OBIC assistant, and a few quick links. As you add forms and records, widgets like Quick Stats and Recent Activity start showing live numbers. See Dashboards for the full set of widgets.

From here the typical first moves are:

  1. Install a template from the Marketplace to get a working set of forms in seconds — or
  2. Design a form from scratch in the Form designer.

Either way, the records you create become your data, and you can layer flows, dashboards and access rules on top whenever you're ready.
