Overview
Introduction
OBIC is a low-code platform for building and running your business operations from a single workspace.
OBIC lets you stand up the software your business runs on — without writing code.
Install a ready-made template, reshape it with a drag-and-drop designer, and run
your whole operation — data, automations, dashboards and an AI assistant — from one
workspace. Each workspace lives at its own address under app.obic.ai/<workspace>.
How OBIC fits together#
The platform is built from a few primitives. Most teams meet them in this order:
- Forms are the heart of OBIC. A form defines a kind of record — a customer, a product, a sales order — using a visual designer on a 12-column canvas. Records you create from a form become your data.
- The Marketplace ships pre-built templates and bundles so you don't start from a blank page. Installing a template creates its forms, wires up their relationships, and can seed example data.
- Flows connect forms into pipelines — when a record changes, OBIC can write to another form or raise an alert. This is where Lead → Quote → Sale automation lives.
- Dashboards compose widgets — live stats, recent activity, alerts, a to-do list, the assistant — into a home screen for each user.
- Access control governs who can see and change what, down to individual fields and dropdown options.
- The AI agent is a Claude-powered assistant that can query your data and, when you allow it, create and update records on your behalf.
Where to start#
If you're setting up a workspace for the first time, begin with Getting started. If you already have a workspace and want to shape it, jump to the Form designer or browse the Marketplace.
This documentation describes the product as it ships today. It does not assume any prior setup — every guide starts from a fresh workspace.
